Southeast Swing: Vicksburg, MS - Biloxi, MS

Vicksburg, MS - Biloxi, MS
232 miles

Started the day at Vicksburg National Military Park.... The park has an interpretive visitor's center and driving tour that leads you throughout the expansive battlefield grounds. The park is also home to an early iron clad that was salvaged/reconstructed and a national cemetery. Was quite a moving and interesting place to visit.

Headed for Biloxi in the early afternoon trying to beat the thunderstorms forming along the coast. Rode through the DeSoto National Forest to the Whistle Stop Cafe in Wiggins, MS for a plate of fried green tomatoes. Can't say I've had them before but now I can... They were great! Finished my ride with more mellow sweepers through DeSoto and on to Biloxi.
