Biloxi, MS - Hurlburt Field, FL
185 miles
Visited the Gulf Islands National Seashore right out of Biloxi to start the day today.....Park consisted of mostly wetlands and a fishing pier. Met some nice retirees who park hop for the National Park Service. They stay 3 months then off to the next park. Free stay wherever they go as long as they give 16 hours a week to the park. Cool way to travel the US!
Took the beach side roads almost the entire way today...... So many cool beach towns and tourist traps to see along the way. I was surprised at how busy the beaches were! Stopped by the Battleship Memorial Park near Mobile..... home of the USS Alabama. Interesting place with a variety of aircraft and vehicles on display as well. Free admission to active and retired military. Worth the visit!
Weatherbug predicted 80% chance of precip and tstorms so I put my waterproof liners in before I left. Had just a few minutes of rain near Mobile even though the radar remained threatening all day. By the time I got to Hurlburt, I couldn't get my jacket off thanks to my soaking wet arms being stuck to the liner. Jeans picked up a few pounds of water as well. Good weight loss program.... I should write a book. Tomorrow is forecast for 80% precip again. I'm going sans liners....and will probably get rain soaked. At the end of the day, it's just another part of the adventure......bring it on!
Biloxi casino row way (way) off in the distance....

Excellent place to enjoy a smooth Blue Moon on draft while overlooking the sound. Great finish to a great day!

Nat gave me the link to your blog! Glad you're having a good time! Don't forget to take a selfie with some exotic background (; Only joking, but that would be priceless. Ciao!
